Greek Orthodox Baptism for Alexios Michael
It was an incredible honor to photograph the baptism of little Alexios Michael at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral, located at 3511 Yoakum Blvd, Houston, TX 77006. The church’s elegant design, golden tones, and soft natural light created the perfect setting for such a sacred day. Surrounded by family and friends, the ceremony was filled with love, prayer, and tradition.
As a Greek and Orthodox Christian, there’s nothing more meaningful to me than witnessing a new member being welcomed into our faith. The baptism of a child is one of the most joyful moments in our church, a blend of spiritual beauty, family connection, and generations of faith coming together.
Out of respect for the family and the personal nature of the event, I won’t be sharing too many photos from this session, especially not of the baby. Some moments are meant to remain private, to be cherished quietly among loved ones.
After the ceremony, the celebration continued at Bludorn, located at 807 Taft St, Houston, TX 77019 in Downtown Houston. The atmosphere was full of warmth and happiness as everyone enjoyed good food, laughter, and heartfelt toasts to baby Alexios Michael.
Being part of this special day reminded me why I love what I do. As a photographer in Houston, moments like these connect my passion for photography with my own faith and culture. I’m truly grateful to have captured this beautiful milestone and wish the family many blessings for the years ahead.
