I hadn't been to Starscape (or for any larger-scale party) for about 4 years

I went in '99 and again in '01 and haven't been back since. I don't consider
myself "old-school" by any means, but still, alot of things have changed about
the rave scene since the late 1990's when we were partying every weekend!
(R.I.P. New Energy, York, PA!!)

Starscape 2005 gave me a chance to reposition myself and understand my
personal evolution in the scene...instead of giving myself a near heart-attack
by 8 hours of full-out dancing and eventually cramping up and not being able
to move for days afterwards like we'd used to, I got to talk with some really
interesting people about how they felt about the music scene and what
motivated them personally. Plus, I had the chance to take some absolutely
stunning photographs around the different tents and down by the coast at
sunrise.

Many thanks to all the people attending Starscape 2005 who let me take
shots of you, and who worked so very well as my subjects. I appreciate the
rare and wonderful opportunity to be in the midst of so many life-loving and
beautiful people.

Also, much love to the Ultraworld and Buzzlife organizers...every event of
yours since my first Energize in DC has been one for the record books. As
for this one..DJ SS was definitely a highlight for me, as well as Scott Henry's
set...his music isn't completely my type, but I can dance for hours to his
sound and not feel a thing. You know it's gonna be good when he starts off
his set with a little classic Kraftwerk track...(Music...Non-stop..nice!!!) Then
there was the group down by the water who wouldn't stop dancing no matter
how horrible the PA system sounded!

Also, I don't know what his name was, but whoever was spinning just before
sunrise in the Drum'n'bass area was perfectly mind-blowing!!!

Where else can you get a rousing round of applause from a hundred people
the moment the sun breaks the horizon?
